How Does It Work?

Lasergaming uses S.A.T.R 2.0 and 3.0 Digital gaming guns. These guns use a harmless infrared beam, like a tv remote control to send messages to and from targets up to
100m away.

Each player has sensors on their gaming gun and their headbands, when a player hits one of these infrared sensors, the gun and radio antenna relays the information and stats in real time back to the players gun, registering a hit or kill.

If you hit the mark, the player will see a flashing red dot, and just like a computer
game you get all the stats in real time and receive feedback on your play form
your own gun.

We know the VIP (Birthday boy or girl) is the most important person in the group and we make sure our games and missions are in theme with the celebrations. The VIP also receives a free personalised Dogtag as a memento of their special day.

We love wowing our customers and guests! We specialise in immersive LIVE combat gaming scenarios with a military theme – by Theme, we don’t mean a bit of camo net here and there and some MDF painted green and black, we mean REAL Helicopters, REAL armored personnel carriers, REAL military snatch land rovers, REAL buses and Real Hesco buildings! You won’t find any cardboard tanks or Chipboard buildings at Lasergaming, I mean how often do kids get to play in real helicopters as part of their birthday party!!!

We have multiple gaming zones themed for different missions, with different objectives, with different terrains, so rather than just staying in one small area for the whole session, we use different areas of our woodland. Our missions have an objective and the team need to meet the objective. Players move from zone to zone making the experience more exciting and more like a computer game or movie but this time you are in it!

We only use the very latest and BEST laser tag equipment on the planet! we use Battlefield Sports Equipment with the latest SATR 2.0 technology ensuring our players get the very best player experience available in the UK. Our guns give Live feedback to the player and tell players when they have made a hit or received a hit, no more guessing if you have made the shot on target!

Lasergaming is a TEAM game, not an individual game. In our parties rather than the boring old deathmatch and shootouts for 20 minutes, we run fun and exciting missions where all the party are involved and work together as a team battling against another team. Team strategy and tactics are required and everyone has a role.

We have 8 different gaming guns! Something for everyone. One size doesn’t fit all and there are many roles within the team for each mission. Our gaming guns are top-of-the-range Battlefield Sports S.A.T.R digital gaming guns, built tough, with realistic sound effects, realistic weights, and real red dot scopes for an authentic combat experience! Battlefield Sports have supplied equipment to Call of Duty for their game launches, the divergent movie premier and even Top Gear with clarkson V stig.

In-game player stats – No Awful HUMILIATION printouts ranking players from good to worst! If you are the parent of the birthday child the last thing you want is the Birthday girl or boy to come last at their own party! With Lasergaming Each player can see their own in-game player stats updated in real-time on their own gaming gun during the mission games, no more waiting for the end of the session to see how you’re doing. Our awesome missions are not based on individual scores, you’re scored as a team, so the focus is on team effort rather than individuals.

We book our parties in age ranges that work well together and that are appropriate for their ages. We know how worrying it is for our birthday parents when they think their children will be playing against other players who are much older or adults. We group our 9th, 10th and 11th birthdays together and then our 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th birthday parties together, so we keep the groups to a similar age, so no risk of your kids playing with a bunch of rowdy lads on a stag do or a group of adults socialising. At Lasergaming a child’s party is a child’s party.

There is no Paint or projectile involved, no masks needed, no pain, no bruises, no Lasers, just safe infra red that is used in your remote control at home. No need to worry about being covered in bruises the next day.

No additional ammo or paint costs, the price you pay is all-inclusive. No hidden costs on the day and no asking your guests to bring extra money to play.

We have in-game player perks in our missions featured in all the latest computer games where they can boost their health points, change weapons, boost armour etc.

Our sessions are all-weather events, so take place in sun, rain, and sleet! We are a wet weather provider and work off the motto there is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing and besides who doesn’t like being childlike, getting wet and muddy, and having fun!

risk assessments

Changes to party structures and sessions from Jan 2023

In line with risk assessments to safeguard our visitors, guests staff, and other site users, the following rules will remain in place for all sessions in 2023.

Although restrictions have been lifted, there are still thousands of people testing positive weekly, and with no isolation requirements, we have a duty of care to keep players, visitors and staff safe and minimise the risks on site.

We are able to offer 15 minutes at the end of the party for you to do a birthday cake in our birthday cake area for players and parents of players. This area is not sheltered and consists of picnic benches outdoors. Other players and birthday parents will also be in this same area. You can bring your own food and you will also need to bring your own cups, refreshments, plates, napkins etc We will also ask you to take all your rubbish home with you. The maximum time allowed in the birthday cake area is 15 minutes and after this time, our staff will escort you to the car park for departure.

All party guests must leave the site promptly once the session has finished, there are no facilities for further picnics, gatherings, or birthday cake celebrations around our site, in the car park or around the Culham No1 Site. In order for us to carry our cleaning schedules and session preparations and to make sure there are no cross-overs with the next party groups/sessions coming in we will ask your group to exit the site once the 15 minutes birthday cake time is over. Abingdon which is 2 miles away has a huge park and lots of food places should you want to celebrate afterward.

Additional Extras

We no longer offer any food options. Abingdon town centre is 2 miles away and has plenty of parks and restaurants/takeaways.

We offer the use of the outdoor picnic benches for you to do a birthday cake after the party for PLAYERS ONLY. This is limited to 15 minutes, is not sheltered, and is an area for all parties. You can bring your own food, drink and cake with you but you must take all rubbish home. Non-players and parents of the guests must remain in the car park.

Why not add Dog tags to your party package, for an extra £3.99 per person, you can give the ultimate party gift that is personalised to for child’s party. Each personalised Dogtag comes with a Silencer and chain, personalised with each players name or nickname on or any message you choose on there.

To order the dog-tags please email us and we will send you the order form to return to us by the Wednesday before the party. Once ordered you will need to pay for your dog tags on the day of the party.
